Complete the following tasks and provide your answers on a single document. Upload to OneNote.
- Locate your router at home and take a picture.
- Find out the company that connects your home network to the Internet.
- Find out the type of connection you have (e.g. fiber to the home, fiber to the cabinet on the street, etc.)
- Find out the bandwidth of your internet connection (both the theoretical bandwidth stated in the contract with the company and an actual measurement using fast.com from a device connected to your home network. If possible take two measurements, one using Wi-Fi, and other using Ethernet. Is there any difference?). Paste a screenshot of the measurement(s).
- Calculate how long it will take to download a 3GB movie from Netflix in your home network using the same devices on which the measurements were taken.
- Is your home network a LAN or a WAN? Justify your answer.
- List all the network technologies that are normally used in your home network (both wired and wireless)
- Analyse the performance of your home network following the six factors covered in lessons.Write a small paragraph per factor.
