Hola Y10 Spanish chicas,

I hope that the start of the exams today has gone well - ¡buena suerte!

We have been invited to take part in an MFL Debating Competition on Tuesday 17th June at St Catherine's. There will be a range of schools attending from Surrey (e.g. RGS, Tormead, Reeds, Charterhouse etc.) Each School can bring 3 pairs for each language (so, 6 girls in total for Spanish). You would need to prepare a 1-minute speech defending both sides of the 2 following motions. You will be able to have a card/half an A4 page of notes in front of you when delivering the speech.

Spanish motions:

- Los deberes no son necesarios y deberían eliminarse (Homework is unnecessary and should be eliminated)

- Comer sano y hacer deporte es la única forma de estar saludable (Eating healthy and exercising is the only way to stay healthy)

Please have a chat amongst yourselves, in both our class and Mrs Rowe's class, and email me if you would like to take part - if you would like to be in a pair with someone specifically, please let me know in the email!

We think this would be an incredible opportunity to improve and practise your Spanish, and we hope you will be keen to get involved 😊
