We had a good class this week. We started by playing our D Major Scale. From there we actually learned a new song. The new song is called French Folk Song. It is basically a D major scale!  If they are struggling with the D Major scale, that is where they should start.  We also played our Twinkle Sandwich and the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. We will start having solos next week!!  Each student will play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star for us over the next 2 weeks.  We talked about playing with a relaxed heavy bow arm. Just letting the bow hang on the string, not having to push or hold the bow tight. Also using more bow so the sound can be heard.  Practicing this week: D Major Scale - 3X (great warm up for practicing French Folk Song) French Folk Song -  You do not need to play the whole song, Work on each section separately.       Each section - 8X Twinkle Sandwich - 2X (use different rhythms) Twinkle Twinkle Little Star - 3X   MORE BOW - USE HEAVY RELAXED ARM!!!!
